Creator Messaging

Chat directly with brands about campaigns you've applied to or been hired for, with read receipts, typing indicators, and a note on how long chats stick around.

Messages Overview

Messages (/creator/messages) lists every conversation you have with brands. Search with "Search by name or campaign...". Each conversation shows the brand's avatar and name, a campaign tag if the chat is linked to a specific campaign, the last message preview, the time, and an unread badge.

If you have no conversations at all: "No messages yet — When a brand reaches out about a campaign, your conversation will appear here." If a search doesn't match anything: "No results — No conversations match '[your search]'."

Before selecting a conversation, the right panel shows "Your Messages" with either "Select a conversation from the left to start chatting" or, if you have none, "Once a brand sends you a message about a campaign, it will appear in the sidebar."

Chats are temporary by design A footer note and tooltip both remind you: "Chats are auto-deleted 48 hours after a campaign ends." Anything that needs to be permanent — agreed terms, deliverable links, ASCI disclosure confirmations — lives in your Collaboration Hub, not in chat history.

Chatting with a Brand

Selecting a conversation opens the chat. The header shows the campaign title (if linked) with the brand's name as a subtitle, or just "Direct Message" if there's no linked campaign, plus an online-status dot.

Messages are grouped by day with "Today", "Yesterday", or date dividers. Your own messages appear on the right with a read-receipt icon — a clock while sending, then a double-checkmark once sent or read. When the brand is typing, you'll see an animated typing indicator on their side of the conversation.

Type your reply in the "Type a message..." box and press Enter or tap the send icon. The send button is disabled while the field is empty.

Starting a Conversation

You don't have to go to Messages first — chats are usually started from wherever you're already working with a brand:

  • On the Campaigns page, once you've applied to a campaign, a message icon appears on that campaign's card — tap it to open a quick chat popup with the brand.
  • From Invitations or your Collaboration Hub, any existing conversation about that campaign is reachable from /creator/messages.

The quick chat popup behaves the same as the full Messages page — same input placeholder, same send icon — just in a compact floating window so you don't lose your place on the campaigns page.
