Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about payments, escrow, ASCI disclosure, plans, and account management — for both Creators and Brands.

General

How does payment actually move through Zylolo?

When a brand hires a creator, the brand deposits the full contract amount into escrow up front — the creator's payout plus Zylolo's platform fee plus GST. As each milestone is submitted and approved, that portion is released. Approved milestones sit as "Pending" for 7 days before becoming withdrawable for the creator. If a brand doesn't respond to a submission within 48 hours, it's auto-approved. See Approvals & Payments and Wallet & Payouts.

What is "ASCI disclosure" and why does it keep coming up?

ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) requires sponsored content to be clearly labeled — #ad, #sponsored, a "Paid Partnership" tag, etc. Zylolo enforces this at two points: a creator can't submit a milestone without confirming disclosure, and a brand reviewing that content during content review must also confirm the disclosure is present before approving.

What's the difference between a creator's "rank" and their "tier"?

Rank (Rookie, Rising, Vanguard, Icon, Legend, Titan) is what brands see when reviewing applicants, and some campaigns require a minimum rank to apply. Tier (Starter, Rising Pro, Elite, Legend, Mythic) is part of the creator-only Progress & Leaderboard XP/level system. They're tracked separately.

How do I contact support?

Every legal document and most error states point to support@zylolo.com — this is the right address for account issues, disputes, data requests, or anything not covered here.

For Creators

Why is my dashboard locked?

Your profile isn't complete yet. Click Complete Setup to finish onboarding — at minimum, you need basic profile info and at least one connected social channel.

Why can't I apply to a campaign?

The Apply button is replaced when:

When do I actually get paid?

After a brand approves your milestone (or it auto-approves after 48 hours), it becomes "Pending" for 7 days, then moves to your Available for Withdrawal balance. From there, request a withdrawal from Wallet & Payouts — you'll need bank and tax details on file first.

Do I need Zylolo Star?

No — applying, messaging, contracts, payouts, and a working media kit are all available for free. Zylolo Star (Zylolo Pulse — pricing to follow) will add media kit view analytics, a downloadable PDF media kit, priority placement in brand search, and a verified Pro badge, plus richer "Zylolo Star Insights" on your dashboard.

What happens to my chats after a campaign ends?

They're automatically deleted 48 hours after the campaign ends. Anything important — submission links, disclosure confirmations, contract terms — is preserved in your Collaboration Hub, not in chat.

For Brands

What's the difference between Start, Rising, and Scale?

PlanPricePublish FeeTeam SeatsCRM / Approvals / Automations
Start₹1,999/mo (founding offer; regular ₹3,999/mo)16%1 (owner only)
Rising₹9,999/mo12%3Included
Scale₹19,999/mo8%10Advanced (incl. dry-run automations)

Every brand starts on Start and can upgrade anytime from Plan & Billing. See also Advanced Analytics and Vendor Compliance, which are Scale-only.

How does funding a campaign / hiring a creator work?

When you hire a creator (via Hire & Pay), you deposit the full amount into escrow — the creator's agreed price plus Zylolo's platform fee plus 18% GST on that fee. Funds release per milestone as you approve the creator's submissions in content review. See Wallet & Finance for the running totals.

What does the CRM do and who can use it?

The CRM is a 6-stage Kanban board (Briefing → Outreach → Negotiation → In Production → Review → Completed) for tracking relationships with creators. It's included on Rising and Scale — on Start it's locked until you upgrade.

What's the difference between content review and the approval workflow?

Content review (everyone) is where you approve or reject a creator's submitted deliverable, including confirming ASCI disclosure. The approval workflow (Rising/Scale) is an optional internal layer — e.g. requiring a Reviewer or Finance teammate to sign off before a campaign action goes through. See Approvals.

Can I message all the creators on a campaign at once?

Yes — once you've hired more than one creator on a campaign, use Broadcast Message on the Applicants page. It sends your message individually to each hired creator. See Messaging.

How do I add teammates and control what they can see?

On Rising/Scale, go to Team Members — invite people as Owner, Campaign Manager, Reviewer, or Finance, and optionally fine-tune access further with Custom Permissions.
